Not really a pup anymore. Skinny glanced down at his large red furry head nestled on her chest. He had grown very much in the years since they had been away from home. In size and in power.

Family: The di Romana family

Keen is a fox cub from the Erto Region region. He seems to be traveling the world as a constant companion to Skinny. That child of Ronina.

Ronin di Romana (a.k.a. Skinny)

Her attention to the land and the continent as a whole makes her an excellent outside guide to it.

Nickname: Ronin, Skinny.

Age as of 1142 AS: 70

Hair Color: Short chin-length white silvery hair

Bonds: I may not have much in this world but I have Keen and would die for them.

Family: Rosanella her Mother, Farnin her brother and Keen.

Motto: Don’t expect me to save those who can’t save themselves. It is nature’s way that the strong thrive and the weak perish.

Ronin, daughter of the esteemed di Romana family that has long led the nation of Erto, was known in her youth for a rebellious streak and penchant for adventure that greatly vexed her mother, the ruling Rosanella. While her brother, the charismatic Farnin who was being raised as the family’s next leader, looked after his headstrong sister with fondness, Ronin earned a roguish reputation through petty crimes, promiscuity, and a refusal to adhere to the strict decorum expected of the di Romana clan.

Conflicts seemed to have flared on Erto’s borders with the Far Water region. It was during this time that the unthinkable occurred – Farnin was slain while protecting Ronin and civilian refugees. This tragedy seemed to utterly shatter the relationship between mother and daughter, with Rosanella publicly blaming Ronin for her beloved son’s death and disowning her in grief.

Exiled from her homeland, the remorseful Ronin wandered aimlessly for years, seeking redemption through fruitless adventures and mercenary work across the continent.

Eventually, she found purpose among the reclusive Protectors of Arovain, embracing their spartan ways while honing skills in survival, reconnaissance, and an intimate familiarity with the region’s geography.

For the past several years, the once-wayward Ronin has leveraged these talents as a scout and guide, leading expeditions under the employ of nomadic traders and mercenary companies. Her unique knowledge of the lands and insights from years of wandering have proven invaluable to those navigating the dangers of the wilderness and territorial conflicts it seems.

I will remake this world however I see fit, in great and small ways. Mortals may plead for constancy, but transformation is the only true constant. ~Changebearer

Name: Shaper of everything Efia (a.k.a. Changebearer, Harbinger).

Divine Domains: Transformation, Destruction, Marriage, Motherhood, Fertility.

Artifacts: Cutting Scythe – represent the deity’s power to cut away the old and make way for the new.

Trumpet of Awakening – deity’s power to call forth new opportunities and awaken people to new possibilities.

Divine Symbols & Sigils: Their divine symbol is often a butterfly or a snake shedding its skin. Recently the symbol of a phoenix has been given to the Changebearer but it is unknown by whom.

Tenets of Faith: Embrace Change
Respect destruction
Celebrate transformational events.

Holidays:

Spring Equinox – Followers of the deity use this time to celebrate the power of transformation and change, and to acknowledge the deity’s influence on the natural world.

Marriage Festival – This festival includes rituals to bless new marriages, as well as celebrations of long-lasting partnerships.

Harvest Festival – This festival includes feasting, music, and dancing, as well as rituals to give thanks for the blessings of the deity.

Destruction Day – This holiday includes rituals to let go of old patterns or relationships, as well as celebrations of the power of destruction to pave the way for something new.

Even before my time, no one had seen them since the 1st Age. Their Amabassador spoke for them.

This powerful deity is often depicted as a shapeshifter, capable of taking on different forms and bringing about significant changes in the world. The capricious Changebearer continuously altered the fabric of the world in their domain, reshaping environments and lives with little pattern mortals could discern. Their unpredictable transformations perhaps was meant to teach us humility.

In ROUTES Skinny and the, affectionally called, trio of Zizy, Laysa, Pace make their way through fantastical cities and meet quirky enemies and allies alike. I’m so happy to be able to complete this trilogy with such a great and classic fantasy read.

Divine Domains: Enlightenment, Liberation, Magic.

Holy Book:

The Manual – No one has ever seen what is in these divine pages. It was on the Muse at all times.

Divine Symbols & Sigils: A book with intricate swirl in the middle.

Tenets of Faith:

Experimentation breeds invigoration and progress.
Delight does not come upon one by itself.

Physical description: Fawn white skin, expressive eyebrows, and a hint of a smirk. Their deep brown hair tumbles in waves and curls.

Specialized Equipment: They often are armed with a bow and arrow or a staff of complex design. They always have a follower to hand them tools as they walk.

The Curious Muse seemed to be always tinkering with something. Often they were found with a bit of metal, string, or wood combining it in a fashion. They encourages their worshipers to experiment with the essence of the world around them, the hum of magic ever flowing on Kairas, and taught them how to tap into it. Many that worshipped The Curious Muse were the best magic users in the world.

Divine Domains: Night, Moon, Stars, Dreams, Nightmares

Divine Symbols & Sigils: Visage of an owl.

Holidays:

The Full Night – Dream the 8th – 24 hours of perpetual night for the entire land.

Motivation: To protect those who dream and to prevent nightmares from escaping.

Physical description: Tawny beige skin is freckled with brown spots. Hair the color of a deep blue. It changes depending on their mood but, not often.

Apparel & Accessories: They often wrapped themselves in night, dark colors, as the constellations they’ve created display on their skin. They wear a ring on one hand and don no visible weapons.

Pets: Giant owl named Vabo

They often present to everyone, everywhere, all at once through dreams and nightmares. Most people in the world knew exactly what the Night Bringer looked like because of this. They took their work seriously and tried to offer dreamscapes that were relevant or of some meaning to the dreamer.

They ruled the night in a less strict manner than their sibling, Bright Justice. Sometimes the day and night clashed because of this differing structure. The moon and the stars are under the domain of Night Bringer. They often listened to ideas and thoughts from their worshippers on what should decorate the darkened sky.

Bright Justice, Major Deity of Kairas

How may the light shine your way to day? ~Typical greeting from Priests of Bright

Name: Bright Justice, Aeonian

Divine Domains: Sun, Law, Order, Justice.

Holy Books & Codes: The Codex Of The Sentinel, the book in which laws are written and enforced

Divine Symbols & Sigils: Square with an arrow or a shining scimitar.

Devine Goals and Aspirations: To keep the land and its people in a balanced order.

Physical description: They presented themselves at exactly 6ft and 165 lbs. Their dark skin was flawless, their hair coiled to perfection, and their robes the exact length to grace the floor but never drag.

Apparel & Accessories: A long deep yellow cloak with black trim. Black soft pants and a deep blue tunic.

Pets: A pure black horse. Name unknown. Flame and smoke were all people saw of the creature but it was said the Bright Justice loved him more than any one else.

Bright Justice had a heavy hand in the laws that governed the entire continent but in their domain that hand could be smothering. They ruled the sky and the land equally and through them the sun set and rose on its exact schedule every day.

They were considered ruthless by some and considerate by others. They weighed all sides of an argument, request, or ask and made the best judgement that they could. It seems to them that was true justice. It was true law.
